My children (8, 8 and 14) LOVE ALL of the Harry Potter books! They have read all three books over and over and over again. The 8 year old boys (twins) were first exposed to Harry Potter when one of their teachers read the first book aloud to the class and were immediately hooked! The 14 year old picked a book up and couldn't put it down.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
by J. K. Rowling, June 1999

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
by J. K. Rowling, Mary Grandpre (Illustrator) Sept. 1999

The Legend of Luke
by Brian Jacques
After the Harry Potter Series, my children's absolute favorite is the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques. The Legend of Luke is the 12th book in the series. We recommend them all.

Roald Dahl's Revolting Recipes
by Roald Dahl (Illustrator), Quentin Blake (Illustrator), Felicity Dahl (Illustrator)
My kids love this cookbook. The receipes for foods mentioned in Dahl's books are fun, silly
and tasty. "Bruce Bogtrotter's Sensational Chocolate Cake" has been the cake most often
requested by my oldest son on his birthday.
Like the Harry Potter books listed above, the Roald Dahl books are favorites of my children and those of many, many OASIS families. Not one family picked a specific book. The recommendations came in as "Roald Dahl Books". "Boy" is autobiographical and I would recommend that for the much older child, but the rest are just wonderful.

GREAT KIDS MUSIC :
I just wanted to put in a plug for our very favorite children's performers "Trout Fishing
In America". They wrote one of my all time favorite songs "Count on Me" and
generously allowed me to post them on OASIS in the "Family Matters" area.
Click Here to read. This song is on their CD "Mine" and can be ordered from Amazon.com by clicking
Here.
My family also loves "Big Trouble" and "My World" and we've ordered their newest "Closer to the
Truth". If you download Real Player you can play samples of music listed on Amazon.
