Trevor, Trevor
by Diane Twachtman-Cullen, PhD, CCC-SLP
This is a wonderful book which is designed to be read to children by adults. The character is not labelled as "autistic" or "PDD" (although all the characteristics are there). The author decided to leave off the label to give parents and teachers the "utmost flexibility" in reviewing the events of the story with children. Some may choose to add a label, but others may just discuss differences. I HIGHLY Recommend this book. It also comes with some neat paper dolls which can be used to "act" out the parts of the book.
Please note that this book is available through Amazon.com (which helps support OASIS), but it may take a few weeks to receive the book. If you need it sooner it can also be ordered directly from Starfish Press. For information about ordering this way, please go to their webpage at Starfish Press
